All You Need To Know Diet Guide Video 2 of 4


In my last video, I talked all about your macros; what they are, the different kinds, and how they affect your body. I covered the most important basics that any nutrition or dieting approach stems from. So if you haven’t seen it yet, go back and watch it now.

This video, as promised, will be all about how to burn calories around the clock from only 10-15 minutes of exercise. It may sound too good to be true, but be warned, that 10-15 minutes is brutal.

What I’m talking about is High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). Some of you may have heard of it, some not. Either way, it is one of the very best ways to burn fat off your body and something every fitness professional in the world does when trying to cut up.

To break it down for you, HIIT training is basically going through short all out bursts of activity (anywhere from 10-30 seconds), followed by short periods of rest (anywhere from 10-60 seconds). And you do this over and over and over again until you can’t do another round and you’re done (usually 12-15 cycles in a good number to aim for).. This can be sprints, biking, stairs, elliptical, or even certain fast paced exercises.

So why does this work better? Well, HIIT is what you call an anaerobic exercise. The reason this is beneficial for our body is because we are using a ton of oxygen throughout these high intensity bursts. Then, as long as you do it long enough, you completely deplete your body of all its oxygen, which it then has to restore through, what is called, Excess Post Oxygen Consumption (EPOC).

And the coolest part about EPOC is that your body burns calories the entire time! This can be up to 48 hours after you’ve finished your workout and can results in 5x as many calories burned in a fraction of the time.
