Today we are giving you something a little bit different than the typical ab workout you will find on the web or even here on our blog and YouTube channel.
That’s because this is not a guided workout with set in stone exercises, an exact number of reps, sets, rounds, etc.
Don’t worry! You won’t be doing it all on your own!
We are giving you a list of twelve popular no-equipment ab exercises to choose from. But instead of giving you a step-by-step ab workout to follow…..
You get the freedom to pick and choose what ab exercises you want to do!
Once you pick your favorites from the list below, or better yet, the ones you know will challenge you the most — you will put together an ab workout that best suits your individual fitness needs!
If you aren’t sure how to create a custom ab workout — it’s really easy!
- Pick a minimum of 4-5 ab exercises from the list below.
- Make sure you select an exercise variety that targets all areas of your stomach (upper, lower, obliques, etc.) so you get a complete ab workout!
- Write out your workout using whatever training structure that matches your fitness level and workout needs!
Here are some ideas …
- Go for AMRAP (as many reps and rounds as possible.)
- Pick a set number of reps and rounds.
- Use a timer and go for time instead of a number of reps.
- Do each exercise individually for all sets before moving on to the next.
- Go down the list you create in order from exercise-to-exercise (“round” style.)
- Rest between each exercise or only rest between rounds.
