Let’s go ahead and get one thing straight……
The idea that you can remove stubborn body fat
from one particular body part – IS A MYTH!
Doing ab exercises will not burn more fat off your mid-section anymore than doing bench press will burn fat off your chest, or shoulder presses will burn fat off your arms.
You can NOT spot reduce fat!!
Getting a six-pack requires achieving a low level of body fat that has nothing to do with how many crunches or abs exercises you do.
You can’t see your abs if you have excess body fat covering them!
Now, there are some exceptions. Some people do genetically store less fat in their mid-section. If that is the case, their abs will be more visible even with higher overall levels of body fat.

Either way, no matter your genetics, you still have to tone and tighten your abdominal muscles so that as you lose body fat through whole-body exercise, cardio, and diet – they can be revealed!
