Danelle Shares Her Inspiring Transformation Story During a One-on-One Interview with V Shred & Sculpt Nation Co-Founder Vince Sant.

We love to hear that people have shed fat and lost inches using our programs and that their results gave them more self-esteem and a better outlook on life.

But one of our favorite things is when our customers realize that the PROCESS doesn’t have to be miserable. 

That is the story of our client Danelle — who lost 30 pounds without having to do hours of cardio a day or cut out all of her favorite foods.

Danelle’s V Shred Transformation Story 

Cardio .. cardio .. and more cardio.

Before discovering V Shred, that is how you could sum up Danelle’s lifelong weight-loss journey.

“’I’ve always struggled with my weight. Ever since I was a kid. My mindset was always that I needed to do more cardio. I was doing two hours of cardio a day, and then back when I was 29 or 30, I was even running 10-20 miles a week. That, plus playing soccer five nights a week. All that, and I STILL didn’t have what I have today,” says Danelle. 

What she has today, at age 50, is a toned and fit body that was achieved by ditching the hours of running and following a diet and training program that was best suited for her body type.

Danelle didn’t even know about body types until she stumbled across the V Shred FREE BODY TYPE QUIZ back in February 2020.

She says when she took the quiz and watched our video, it was like everything suddenly .. clicked.

She finally realized why all those years of running never worked. 

“The way you explained it about having the endomorph body type and how that was why I was having a hard time losing weight. That it’s not about cardio, cardio,  cardio.”

The body type quiz couldn’t have popped up at a better time. Danelle says she wasn’t in a very good place physically or mentally. A few years prior, she lost both of her parents to cancer and was having a hard time getting motivated.

“I was very ashamed of how I let myself go. I was very down and didn’t really realize how down I was until I started to come out of it.”

Danelle wanted to make a change but hated running and didn’t want to go back to pounding the pavement for hours a day.

She also didn’t want to do any of the other programs she had attempted in the past. They were time-consuming and so strict that she says they caused her to have major burnout, both in and out of the gym.

“I got burnt out so fast after about three months on any other program because it was the same thing over and over. Also, they were super intense. There was no break. You worked out seven days a week doing the same thing for three months. It was also the same meals, day in and day out. I needed  something different.”  

The second she read about the plan that V Shred suggested was best suited for her body type – she knew that it would be different from ANYTHING she had ever tried before.

She clicked purchase and signed up for Fat Loss Xtreme and a custom diet with one of our coaches without a single hesitation.

“I was like, okay, I’ve done nothing but cardio for years. Prove me wrong, V Shred. Prove me wrong that your program isn’t gonna work.”

The proof that it WAS going to work was almost instant!! In the first month alone, Danelle shed 5 pounds of fat, her clothes fit better than they had in years,  and the dark mental cloud lifted.

“It’s a ripple effect. Losing weight gives you so much more of a clear mind and a positive outlook. When you feel good inside, it radiates into the world,“ says Danelle.

After one year of consistency, Danelle lost a total of 30 pounds, 3 inches off her waist, 4 inches off her hips, toned her entire body, and was finally able to change the shape of her legs.

“ I have muscles in my arms that I didn’t  have before. I also tend to be bottom-heavy. All my weight goes to my legs. In the past, even when I lost weight, I didn’t usually lose it in my legs. But I lost more weight in my legs with this program. They slimmed down to where I don’t have what I call “the three  humps” on my  hips and thighs.”

Wanting to lose weight is never enough.

You have to have a distinct goal, and Danelle had a really unique one that helped her stay the course. She is a self-proclaimed “cosplay nerd” and wanted to feel good in a specific Darth Talon costume for an upcoming event she was attending for her 50th birthday.

“ I had a picture of Talon on my phone and on my mirror, and I would see that every single day. You always wanna be in shape and healthy for longevity, but to have a different goal other than being healthy is the key to keeping you going.”

Danelle rocked that Darth Talon costume and even had the courage to post pictures in our private V Shred support group page! 

“It was easy to post because you’re surrounded by women and people that are on the same journey and also looking for support.”

Danelle says the encouragement she receives in our private client Facebook group is one of her favorite parts of being part of the V Shred Family. But many other things stand out as contributors to her weight-loss success. 

She loves that the V Shred workouts are never boring and can be done in less than 30 minutes. 

“I get up at 3:30 every morning, and that’s when I do my workout. So, rolling out of bed trying to do a 45-minute workout at 3:30 is a lot harder to convince yourself to do than a 20-minute workout.”

She also loved working with her coach Vinny. He helped her push past plateaus  and even made dieting easier by ensuring she could still eat most of her favorite foods.

“I don’t think I would have gotten this far without the support and him. He listened to me. If I said Vinny, I need pizza, can we include a pizza recipe? Or I’m craving hamburgers, give me a hamburger recipe. He was always there and would be like, okay, what do you want on the menu for this month? And I’m like, I need some pasta,” laughs Danelle. 

As for the new woman she is today…. Danelle says her 30 pound-weight-loss is really secondary to everything else. 

The real “success” is that she finally feels happy again, has a better relationship with food, learned that exercise can be fast and enjoyable, and finally grasped the concept that being healthy is a lifestyle that requires consistency and patience. 

“I retrained my brain on how I thought about diet and exercise. The program teaches you to stay focused and stay positive and gives you a balance of  everything you need – exercise, of rest, of diet, of support.”

Danelle’s next goal is to put on some more calorie-burning lean muscle, so she switched programs and started Toned In 90 Days.

If she had one piece of advice for anyone out there on the fence, wondering if V Shred is for them, it’s this:

“You will have minor setbacks, but stay  consistent because the program will work. You just have to keep telling yourself – I can do this. It’s changed my life and to anybody who’s struggling, or has doubts, just give it a try. Don’t give up and stay consistent, and it will work.”
